Terms of Service

Last updated: October 12, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Ben Sartor, doing business as BenBuildsAi, of Hernando, Mississippi ("we" or "us"). They cover your use of the Film Room app and this website. By using Film Room, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Film Room.

1. Who can use Film Room

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Film Room account. Account sign-up is blocked for anyone who says they're under 13.

If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use Film Room and to make purchases, and they need to agree to these terms on your behalf. Parents and guardians are responsible for their child's use of the app and any purchases made on their Apple ID.

2. Accounts

You can use Film Room as a guest, with your progress saved only on your device. Guest progress, including Tape and Locker items, is lost if you delete the app or lose the device. Creating a free account saves your progress to our servers and syncs it across devices.

To create an account, you must agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Give a real email address you can access. Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account. One account is for one person. Tell us right away at support@playfilmroom.site if you think someone else has gotten into your account.

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile, then Account, then Delete my account.

3. Subscriptions

Every lesson in Film Room is free. Optional subscriptions add features:

  • Film Room Pro: unlimited Reps with no waiting, training in every sport, and unlimited leaderboard leagues. $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
  • Film Room Pro Max: everything in Pro, plus creating and coaching teams, assigning units and seeing every player's scores. $14.99 per month or $119.99 per year.

Prices are in US dollars and may differ in other countries. The price shown in the App Store before you buy is the price you'll pay.

Free trial. Pro may come with a 1-week free trial, on either the monthly or the yearly plan. When the trial ends, it converts to the paid Pro plan you picked, monthly at $7.99 or yearly at $59.99, charged to your Apple ID, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Pro Max has no free trial. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.

Billing and renewal. Subscriptions are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you chose, at the then-current price, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

Managing and canceling. Apple manages your subscription. On your iPhone, go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your Film Room account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. All payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We can't issue refunds ourselves. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Changes. We may change subscription features or prices. Price changes follow Apple's rules, and Apple will notify you when your consent is required.

4. Tape and Locker items

Tape is a virtual currency used only inside Film Room. You can earn Tape by using the app and buy Tape packs through Apple's In-App Purchase. You can spend Tape on in-app items and features, including Rep refills, Streak Freezes, Streak Repair, streak wagers and Locker items for your avatar.

Tape and Locker items:

  • Are a limited, personal license to use those items in Film Room. You don't own them.
  • Have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money or anything outside the app.
  • Can't be sold, traded, gifted or transferred to another person or account.
  • Are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

We may change what Tape can be spent on, how much items cost, and which items are available. Tape and items are lost if your account is deleted or terminated, or, for guests, if the app is deleted. Streak wagers are a game mechanic using Tape only. They involve no real money and pay out nothing outside the app.

5. Your content and community rules

Some things you create in Film Room can be seen by other players: your username, your avatar and, for coaches, team names. You're responsible for what you put in them. You keep any rights you have in them, and you give us permission to store and display them in Film Room so the app can work.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don't use a username, avatar or team name that is offensive, sexual, hateful, harassing, threatening or impersonates someone else, and don't use Film Room to bully or harass anyone. Film Room filters names automatically, but you're still responsible for following these rules.

Every player can report another player and block them from the leaderboard. We review reports, and when content or behavior breaks these rules, we may remove the content, reset names, remove someone from a team, and suspend or permanently terminate the account, without notice or refund.

6. Teams and coaches

A coach with Pro Max can create a team and share a code. Players with a free account can join using that code. By joining a team, you agree that the coach and your teammates can see the information described in our Privacy Policy, including your scores on team lessons.

Coaches agree to use team features only to help their players learn, to share team codes only with their own players, and to treat players with respect. Coaches aren't our employees or agents, and we aren't responsible for how a coach runs a team. Players can leave a team at any time. We may remove a team or a member of a team if these terms are broken.

7. Acceptable use

When you use Film Room, don't:

  • Break the law or anyone else's rights.
  • Harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone.
  • Cheat, including using bots, scripts or exploits to gain XP, Tape, rankings or items.
  • Get into accounts, data or systems you aren't allowed to access, or interfere with how Film Room works.
  • Copy, scrape, sell or redistribute Film Room's lessons or other content.
  • Reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
  • Use Film Room for advertising or spam.

8. Our content

Film Room and everything in it, including the lessons, questions, play diagrams, the mascots, artwork, sounds, design, name and logo, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial training, under these terms. Nothing else is licensed to you.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Apple App Store terms

If you got Film Room from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the iOS app. If it conflicts with these terms, these terms control to the extent the law and Apple allow. You also agree that:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Film Room and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, of the app. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or anyone else relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging any claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless data agreement.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Educational use and sports safety

Film Room is an educational tool for learning how your sport works. It is not coaching, medical, fitness or safety advice, and it doesn't replace your coach, athletic trainer or doctor. Schemes and techniques vary by team, level and league. Follow your coach's instructions and your league's rules.

Playing sports carries a real risk of injury. If you practice anything you learn in Film Room, you do so at your own risk. Use proper equipment and supervision, and talk to a doctor before starting any training.

11. Disclaimers

Film Room is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that Film Room will be error-free, uninterrupted or always available, that lesson content is complete or free of mistakes, or that using it will improve your performance, playing time or recruiting.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or sports injuries, arising from or related to your use of Film Room. Our total liability for any claim related to Film Room is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Film Room in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Termination

You can stop using Film Room at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your account, or limit your access, if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or to protect other players or Film Room. When an account ends, your right to use it ends too, and its Tape, Locker items and progress are deleted. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as Tape having no cash value, our content, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, continue after termination.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in DeSoto County, Mississippi, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Film Room after a change means you accept the updated terms.
